Albert Schram, Ph.D.
Albert Schram is an economic historian from Italy and the Netherlands, and former Vice-Chancellor of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology. He now teaches business management, marketing, economics, social sciences, humanities, and entrepreneurship at both secondary and university level. Over a career spanning 11 countries across Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific — including more than 19 years outside Europe — Albert has worked as a teacher, executive, coach, consultant, and trainer. He and his wife lived for six years in Papua New Guinea, a beautiful country north of Australia, and a year in Singapore. He holds a master's degree from the University of Utrecht and a PhD in European economic history from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. His doctoral thesis on the origins of the Italian railways was published as a book by Cambridge University Press.
